Pencils scratch, heads nod with enlightened looks, conversations flare, and friendships rekindle in the seminar rooms at the majestic µþÂáö°ù°ì±ô³Ü²Ô»å±ð²Ô lodge. Our 2025 season at this sanctuary of peace and contemplation kicked off appropriately with Tim Crain’s From Conflict to Peace: Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and Ireland, Past and Present providing a powerful example of how peace can be won out of seemingly intractable conflict. Relena Ribbons’ Adventures in Forests in Time took nature enthusiasts and advocates into the woods to peer beyond the present, into the past, and toward possible futures for these beloved and verdant environments. Nikolas Hoel’s Saints and Sinners in the Middle Ages made the medieval past relatable by surfacing complex moral questions that vex people then and now.
